A tracker for the questions anxiety keeps asking

The same worry question, over and over. Logging it gently shows you the pattern, helps you notice what it is really asking for, and supports the shift from reassurance to steady support.

    What you’ll notice

    • The worry question, in your child's own words
    • What theme it falls into (safety, contamination, school, and more)
    • What the question seems to be asking for (certainty, connection, transition support)
    • How many times it came up and how you responded
    • Questions you are actively practicing a new response to

    Why it helps

Reassurance-seeking can feel relentless. Logging it takes the heat out of the moment and helps you see the pattern across days. Over time, you start to notice which questions cluster together, what need they are expressing, and which questions you are practicing a new response to. Many families find that observing instead of reacting helps them respond more steadily.

    How it works

    1. 1

After a worry question comes up, log what was asked and roughly how many times.

    2. 2

Choose the theme and what the question seemed to be asking for.

    3. 3

Mark questions you are practicing a new response to.

    4. 4

Check the report to see which worries repeat, how they cluster, and which questions you have marked to practice a new response to.

    The thinking behind it

Developed around the SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) framework and ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) principles. Noticing the function of a worry question, not just its content, supports a response that addresses the underlying need without feeding the anxiety cycle. It is a noticing tool that pairs well with clinician guidance.

Specthrive’s trackers are developed with a licensed clinical counselor (LPCC) on our founding team.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is this a diagnosis tool?

No. It is a noticing tool for caregivers. It does not diagnose or treat anxiety. If you have concerns about your child's anxiety, a licensed clinician is the right next step.

    Does this work alongside ERP?

Yes. Many families use it while working with a therapist on ERP. The log helps you track which questions are practice targets and how often each one comes up.

What if my child asks many different questions?

Log the ones that repeat most or feel hardest. You do not have to capture every single question. The pattern shows up in what you choose to record.

Is the question text shared anywhere?

The question text appears only in your in-product report and the clinician PDF you choose to export. It is never included in social share cards or used in any automated analysis.

    Is it free?

Yes. Create a free account and start logging.
